Hello everybody!

We started our tour on Monday 3th of April at five o’clock, when we met on the school. Then we catched a bus to went to the airport in Barcelona. When we arrived there, we were took our bags and we were ready to take the flight on.
The flight was grat!
We arrived at the airport near Pisa. Then we catched a bus and we went to visit the Sirmione Lake Garda, where we went to eat. After this, we catched a bus again and we went to Verona, where we had the hotel.
In Verona we visited the Arena and we spent funny moments altogether and we visited Romeo & Juliet house too.
On Tuesday, we went to Venice! It's very beautiful! In the morning we catched a train to arrive there. We visited la Piazza di San Marco, the cathedral, la Basílica… And we returned by vaporetto to the train station where we caught a train to return to Verona.
On Wednesday morning we took the bags again and we went to Florence! Which is a very beautiful city in my opinion. We spent two days there. We watched La Galeria dels Uffitzi, el Baptisteri, el mirador de Michelangelo, Santa Maria del Fiore, Piazza della Signoria, Ponte Veccio, la cúpula…
On the last day we finally prepared the bags to return to Catalonia. In the morning we visited Lucca! In the afternoon, we went to Pisa! There we took a lots of photos and we visited all the important monuments.
And finally, we went to the airport to take our flight and we came back to Catalonia.

MY LAST SUMMER Hi, today I'm going talk about my summer holidays. First of all, I'm going to talk about my trip to Ireland and finally, I'm going to talk about my trip to Venècia. Well, when I finished school, on the second week of July I went to Ireland for two weeks. I stayed with another family in a big house with 4 people. In the morning we went every day to the stables for the horses and we rode them for two hours. When we finished the class, we went for a walk with horses in a forest. It was amazing. After that, we went to differents place to visit, for example: shopping centres, big park, cinema... The two weeks went away very quickly and then it was time to return to Banyoles for two weeks and then 3 days to Venècia. Finally, when I arrived home I prepared all the things to go for 3 days to Venècia. It was very nice. These 3 days finished very fast. We visited many places in Venècia. When we arrived in the hotel we slept for two hours and then we went for a w

FORMAL EMAIL

Dear Editor, I’m writing in response to an article I came across yesterday’s edition of your newspaper. I was disappointed to read comments stating that foreign language classes should not be compulsory in secondary schools. As a student of Spanish who is about to do my school leaving exams, I would like to point out the benefits of learning a language. Firstly, there is an advantage of communicating in a one language when you are travelling. Languages can also help your career. When you are searching for a job, you are more likely to get an interview if you list another language on your application form. Next, languages learning is not only allows us to communicate, but also improves our abilities in another areas. Finally, languages are essential in promoting unterstanding between cultures. Kind regards, Berta Crous
