MY LAST SUMMER

Hi, today I'm going talk about my summer holidays. First of all, I'm going to talk about my trip to Ireland and finally, I'm going to talk about my trip to Venècia.

Well, when I finished school, on the second week of July I went to Ireland for two weeks. I stayed with another family in a big house with 4 people. In the morning we went every day to the stables for the horses and we rode them for two hours. When we finished the class, we went for a walk with horses in a forest. It was amazing. After that, we went to differents place to visit, for example: shopping centres, big park, cinema...
The two weeks went away very quickly and then it was time to return to Banyoles for two weeks and then 3 days to Venècia.

Finally, when I arrived home I prepared all the things to go for 3 days to Venècia. It was very nice. These 3 days finished very fast. We visited many places in Venècia. When we arrived in the hotel we slept for two hours and then we went for a walk.
This was my last summer.

MAYPOLE DANCING IN MAY

This pagan tradition began in villages in England and Wales in 1350, but in the 1700s the Church banned maypoles. Today, the tradition is celebrated on 1 May. Dancers hold coloured ribbons as they dance around a tree trunk. Today, it's not a pagan festival, but it's food fun!
